As you know, Hilary and I are both passionate about continuous growth and learning as coaches. Well, I will share more of my insights to help you mature as a coach in a forthcoming book co-written with psychologist and coach Jonathan Passmore.

Becoming a Coach: The Essential ICF Guide is for a coach of any experience level. Not only does it provide a strong foundation for coaching basics and standards, but it also takes you deeper into the art and science of coaching.

And, for those of you craving more on the updated ICF Core Competencies model, this book delivers. Jonathan and I have dedicated an entire section of the book to exploring the new model and how the competencies can truly be applied in your own practice.

For me, the goal of the book was to try to bring the ICF Core Competencies to life. To take the new framework and look at what this actually means and what’s behind the words. Not in a technical, rigid way, but how do we move from that into really getting it into our muscle and being able to fly.

Hilary calls it “the most up-to-date and practical guide for any coach.” She continues, “It provides real, practical examples and offers in-depth understanding of the What, the Who, the How and the Why of coaching, backed up with academic rigour… The clarity and life Sinclair and Passmore bring to the competencies and approaches to coaching really demystify the science and the art of great coaching practice.”

We will share more with you in the coming weeks, and you are also invited to join a special mailing list for notifications about pre-ordering, the official book launch and exclusive additional resources. Learn more and sign up at becomingacoachbook.com.
